Micro blogging can be fun and exciting for writers, but it is important that writers make it just as exciting for readers. One way to ensure that readers are attracted to your blog is to choose colors, themes, titles and subjects that will be appealing to your audience. When it comes to selecting a color, choose colors that will stick out but still allow your audience to view your words. For example, a black background with and dark gray letters would be difficult for readers to see. A bright yellow background with black letters would be very easy for readers to see. You may also want to choose colors that go along with your theme. For example, if you blog is about children, you may want to use bright colors or the colors in the rainbow. If your blog is about taking a stand against domestic violence, you may choose shades of purple because that color is associated with the fight against domestic violence.

Selecting a theme for a blog can be a daunting task for some and extremely easy for others. The key to selecting a theme for a blog of any type is to start with the things that your are most interested and passionate about. The next step is to determine what purpose you wish for your blog to serve. Are you seeking to inform or entertain your audience? This helps you decide what your theme should be because you will have determined what information needs to be seen and in what order.
